Adult flamenco dance classes: All levels, Beginner, elementary and intermediate.
Wednesday evenings - Beginner level -from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Location :Kite Studios, 2B Bassein Park Road, W12 9RY
Thursday mornings - Beginner level -from 9.30am to 10.30pm.Location: Hammersmith by the Novohotel
Saturday afternoons: elementary and intermediate levels.(new courses) .
Price: £10 -£12 per person per class. All students must pay the term in advance.
All students are to bring comfortable and flexible clothing with fairly long flowing skirt and for the guys trousers and if possible waist coat. Shoes are very important, if you are complete beginners, you can start off with your own shoes preferably with a heal not too high and not too thin. For the guys cowboy boots will do. I do advise though, to buy as soon as possible a proper pair of flamenco dance shoes that can be found at El Mundo Flamenco in Duke Street W1. Closest tube, Bond Street on the Central line
The classes are accompanied by live flamenco guitar most weeks and cajon (percussive box). In the beginners level Anita is teaching the basics of body, arms, footwork and palmas techniques together with Tangos choreography and Bulerias rythms.
A 12 week Sevillanas Course to begin Tuesday the 16th of March 04 at 7.30pm-8.30pm once a week. The total cost for the 12 weeks is £84 per person
